HOW DO I BOOK?
Please complete the online contact form providing as much information as possible. In order to secure your wedding date, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required which can be sent via BACS transfer. Terms & conditions along with cancellation policy will be sent via email. The remaining balance will be due one week prior or cash on the day. For prom & special occasions, a £10 deposit is required to secure your date.
IS IT ESSENTIAL TO HAVE A TRIAL?
Absolutely 100% yes! It's so important to talk through and try different styles before your wedding day. You may have a particular hairstyle in mind or even 1,000 images pinned on your Pinterest board, but until you see a style on yourself, you may love it or decide on something totally different! Remember everyone is unique and your trial is a time to talk in detail about your vision, whether you'd like a veil, accessories or maybe fresh flowers and ultimately it's to ensure you feel happy and comfortable with your style ahead of the big day. On your wedding day, you can then rest assured styling will run smoothly and stress free.
HOW SHOULD I PREP MY HAIR FOR THE TRIAL & WEDDING DAY?
Hair always styles best when washed the night before. Some brides may be horrified reading this but please be rest assured, the products I use will ensure your hair doesn't look in any way greasy on the day. Hair that's washed the same day can end up being flyaway, static and hard to manage. Please arrive at your trial with hair blowdried straight using minimal product i.e no oils or treatments. If you could also kindly advise your bridal party to do the same on the day please, this will minimise any delays in styling time.
HOW MANY CAN YOU STYLE IN TOTAL?
The amount I can style depends on the time of your ceremony. I allocate 1-1.5 hours for the bride, 45 mins per bridal party member and 25 mins for flower girls. Therefore if your ceremony is at 1pm - I could style a maximum of 6 if starting at 7am. I would be happy to talk through timings for your day should you have a higher number in your party.
WHAT STYLE SHOULD I GO FOR?
If you've said yes to the dress and have your theme sussed, great! Not to worry if you haven't however it's a great place to start thinking about how you'd like to look on the day. Pinterest is a great place for inspiration however try not to get too carried away. Try to whittle your search down to some favourites and I'll aim to create a version that's unique to you.
DO I NEED HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Extensions are a great way of adding volume and length to your hair. There's so much choice on the market and deciding on what to do can be tricky. Clip in, real hair extensions are a great choice if you're looking for a quick and easy way to enhance your natural hair. Clips can be hidden whether you choose to have your hair up or down. If you're looking to have extensions fitted ahead of your wedding, I highly recommend tape extensions. They're far superior to nano-rings or bonded extensions. They're damage free, no heat is used and they're applied directly to the root for a seamless, invisible look. Beautyworks invisi-tapes are amazing as they last up to 12 months with a refit required every 6-8 weeks. More details can be found here. Clip-ins can create the same look for your big day but should you decide on investing in tapes, I am happy to recommend some trusted hair extension Queens!
CAN YOU CREATE A DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLE FOR THE EVENING OF MY WEDDING?
Absolutely. You may have a different dress for the evening or you just want to create a different look, I can stick around to re-style and get you ready to party the night away. There's a £40 charge per additional hour.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
I only use the best quality products to ensure your hair stays in place without looking frozen. Some of my favourite brands include Label M, Schwarzkopf, Loréal Professional & Kérastase. Head to my instagram page for recommendations on the perfect prepping & everyday products.
WHAT SAFETY MEASURES ARE IN PLACE FOLLOWING GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES ON COVID-19?
I regularly keep up to date with government advice and legislation around hairdressing cleanliness. My products are cleaned and wiped down thoroughly before and after each booking. I am also required by the government to wear a mask and gloves. At this stage in the Pandemic, I also advise clients to wear a mask that wraps around your ears and not whole head for obvious styling reasons :-).
